the blue balloon
had lost the kid
who led its way
thorough town today

he hopped a little
down the street
he hopped a little
up the street

then he decided
he would follow
cars who came
its way

and after hopping
to my joy
for many minutes
on my street

he must have met
somehow a nail
to make him pop
or he would still be here today.
