the heart of of home
what makes it a warm
and cozy hearth
is love;
if  space is small
and the friction
causes sparks
when elbows rub
loves soothes;
and when space
grows cold and large
love calls so
we quiet and we hear ;
we are close enough
to come tonight
surround the hearth
with with arms and songs;
we have to come
close enough to watch
each other's candle burn
this night when we need light
